About Us

Sahir Patel

is an Architect and a researcher whose work operates at the intersection of ecological planning, research and remote sensing. Sahir has been working on a variety of land design projects in Gujarat - that include master planning, permaculture, rewilding, water management, landscaping and real estate projects. His thesis project at the Architectural Association - ‘Turbulent Displacements’ - is an ongoing body of work that addresses alternative imaginaries in relation to large scale water and land management infrastructure in Gujarat. Sahir is a founding member of the Climate tech startup Carbon Cycles and an associate partner at Aakirna Architects. Sahir has previously worked for Robin Snell and Partners and Territorial Agency in London.

Advait Patel

is an Interdisciplinary Architect, Artist and educator associated with Metabolic Office since 2022. Advait has a Bachelors in Interior Design from CEPT University (Ahmedabad) and a Masters in Architecture (RIBA 2) from the Confluence Institute (Paris). Advait produces art which primarily engages with digital media and electronic music.

Soha Gandhi

is an Urban Designer graduated from CEPT University in Ahmedabad. Soha's professional interests revolve around the convergence of urban elements and ecology, particularly in the context of creating immersive and participatory landscapes. She aims to contribute to the creation of new urban ecosystems that transcend the conventional tropes of nature as a mere aesthetic component within the city landscapes.

Ishita Singh

is a designer and researcher at Metabolic Office. Her thesis and final year projects revolved around concepts of rewilding and context specific landscapes that encourage the use of climate adaptive planting palettes in urban environments. She holds a degree in Bachelors of Urban Design from CEPT University in Ahmedabad, and her special interests lie in creating functional and ecologically sensitive designs that work on innovative landscape strategies of lasting value.

Ahana Rao

is an Architect from CEPT and a Permaculture Designer. Her work currently involves landscape design development, research, and working with native species of plants and trees. She believes that Food security, Ecological restoration, Biodiversity conservation and Community development can be strengthened through Design and Art and aims to work at the intersection of these. Ahana also is a classical singer, seed collector and enjoys writing and working with her hands.

Anahita Brahmbhatt

is an associate at Metabolic Office, She is also a Joint Director of New Business and an ESG strategist at Bsafal and a founding member of Carbon Cycles. Anahita has worked on commercial, residential and hospitality projects. Anahita has previously worked for David Chipperfield Architects in London. Her Masters research thesis at the Architectural Association - ‘Strikethrough Wasteland’ is a work that formulates an alternative policy, design and research framework for better land use planning and development in Gujarat.
