Sahir Patel

is the principal founder of Metabolic Office. Sahir is an architect whose work operates at the intersection of ecological planning, research and remote sensing. Sahir has been working on a variety of land design projects in Gujarat - that include master planning, permaculture, rewilding, water management, landscaping and real estate projects. His thesis project at the Architectural Association - 'Turbulent Displacements' - is an ongoing body of work that addresses alternative imaginaries in relation to large scale water and land management infrastructure in Gujarat. Sahir is a co-founder of the Climate tech startup Carbon Cycles and an associate partner at Aakirna Architects. Sahir has previously worked for Robin Snell and Partners and Territorial Agency in London. Sahir is an alumni of the Architectural Association, London.

Anahita Brahmbhatt

is an associate at Metabolic Office. Anahita plays a key role in administration, outreach and awareness for Metabolic Office from its inception. She is an Additional Director at BSAFAL(Safal Constructions India Pvt. Ltd.) from 2023. Anahita has worked on commercial, residential, and hospitality projects with BSAFAL. She founded the Climate Tech start up Carbon Cycles along with Sahir. She has previously worked as a RIBA Part 1 architect for David Chipperfield Architects in London in 2019. Anahita is an alumni of the Architectural Association, London.

Soha Gandhi

is an Urban Designer graduated from CEPT University in Ahmedabad. Soha's professional interests revolve around the convergence of urban elements and ecology, particularly in the context of creating immersive and participatory landscapes. She aims to contribute to the creation of new urban ecosystems that transcend the conventional tropes of nature as a mere aesthetic component within the city landscapes.

Rutvik Prajapati

is an architect from IIDEA, Indus University. With a keen eye for landscape and farming practices, currently honing his skills in permaculture practices. His passion lies in exploring the intersections of architecture and nature, seeking to broaden his horizons within this field. Alongside his professional pursuits, he indulges in the art of Landscape Miniature, meticulously sketching terrains and crafting cityscapes in miniature form, with a dedication to both practical design and artistic expression.

Lopamudra Baruah

is an urban designer with a deep appreciation for landscape architecture and naturalism. Growing up in a small town in northeastern India, she has developed a fascination for breathtaking landscapes. Lopa earned a Bachelor's degree in Urban Design from CEPT University in Ahmedabad, which further enriched her understanding of nature's contemporary manifestations in urban spaces. Committed to exploring new mediums, she aims to communicate and bring to life the beauty of nature within urban design.

Anshika Agrawal

is currently studying Urban Design at CEPT University. She is deeply interested in landscape design, water systems, and climate-responsive architecture and is passionate about developing resilient urban systems holistically integrating ecological, infrastructural, and climatic elements. Her approach focuses on designing urban spaces that are adaptive and capable of responding to the evolving challenges posed by climate change, ensuring that natural and built environments perform together to form enduring urban ecosystems.
